festivities

Of the past, throbbing week, one moment that beats particularly loudly… abnormally… is the Gravitron at the festival downtown. Weightlessness comes at the cost of immobility. Pinned against the wall, his arm seconds away from mine in Earth time, I couldn’t reach out. I wanted to. I did. Better yet, I wanted him to reach out to me. Cause he could… he definitely could. He’s stronger than me, he’s been trained for this. But, he didn’t. Of course he didn’t; more concerned with his upside-down tricks than with my upside-down heart, he will never be the type to put anything on a higher pedestal than instant pleasure. I wish I could be instantaneous, for him. But then: what would the price of that be? More than three tickets, that’s for sure… more than three minutes, but rather, a millisecond in rapid succession, the infinity of the present.

hills like white elephants

sooooooo february is flying by and i'm reminded of how fast the days and weeks go by. january dragged a little but now i feel like the end of the term is already coming and soon it will be time for florida and chicago and san francisco and everywherebuthere. it's not that i'm unhappy it's just that i'm blocked up and i'm tired (so tired).

on my desk: empty 2 liter bottle of dietcokewithlime, dying red roses in red glass vase, 30 rock dvd case, empty water bottle, lysol can, glass cup, empty dietpepsiwithcherry 20 oz bottle (i dont even like pepsi), cvs brand nail polish remover, three red plastic cups, an easy button, a cute but empty box of tissues, my english text, 'icy violet' nail polish, half empty fun size bag of conversation hearts, a bunch of random cords, application for literary magizine board position, piano sheet music, nylon magazine, three hole puncher. post its.

i need to minimize clutter. this is getting to be a bit too.. typical.

what's on YOUR desk?

i can't get no

i am eating a crisp, juicy, crunchy, sweet-tart braeburn apple and i honestly, whole-heartedly believe that i could eat only apples for the rest of my life and be completely satisfied.
